In 2022, I used a lathe to make plaster models of the bowl, base and lid, then I carved them to give an oriental swirl. Each section was cast as a two-part plaster mould. Then I was able to cast multiple copies and experiment with decoration and later with the shape of the lid and base. This slip-cast form is the starting point for much of my subsequent work.
