These strutting exhibitionists are based loosely on the iconic Portuguese Galo de Barcelos. They are each approximately (H)25 x (W)13 x (D)22 cm.
One of these fine fellows was exhibited at Insert There in Bath during June 2025. This exhibition “invited artists to imagine new contexts for their work by inserting it into unexpected or iconic locations—both real and fictional”. I chose a historic meeting that took place around the time submissions were invited. It is called A Pair of Cocks.
